Following the hearings held in 2006 and 2007 on the future structure
of IFLA's professional activities, a thorough revision of IFLA's
Statutes was undertaken. Following a postal ballot of IFLA members with
a deadline of 24 July 2008, the new Statutes and Rules of Procedure
were endorsed at the Council meeting of 14 August 2008. It is expected
that the new Statutes and Rules of Procedure will be posted here in
early October at the completion of registration with the Dutch
authorities.
